To say that La Miniatura founder Jeffrey Sebelia has lived a full life would be like saying that La Miniatura’s impeccably tailored, super-chic boys’ clothes are “sort of stylish, I suppose.” In the 1990s, Sebelia belonged to the rock band Lifter, which scored a minor hit on the music charts. In the mid-aughts, he won Project Runway’s third season and started his adult-size fashion label Cosa Nostra, which has outfitted household names such as Madonna and Gwen Stefani. In 2011 Sebelia teamed up with Melissa Bochco and founded La Miniatura, which strives to “dress your kid with dignity” by offering up ultra-classy kids’ clothing. La Miniatura’s perfectly cut velvet suits and plaid chambray blazers, sharp skinny jeans, colorful pants and button-down shirts, and sleek trench coats are inspired by the post-punk era (arguably one of the most stylish periods for men in modern history) but updated and miniaturized for fashion-forward little guys ages two to 14 years. The only drawback to La Miniatura’s stylish line is that it might make dads jealous.
