When the five designers behind L.A.-based men’s label Life/After/Denim launched their company in 2009, the one thing they decided not to make was jeans. "We exist in an endless sea of denim brands and see absolutely no need for another," they wrote. Instead, they've turned their energies to crafting classic trench coats, plaid work shirts, comfy slim-fit chino pants, and other wardrobe essentials topped off with fresh, clever touches. The brand’s high-quality threads have won it a celeb following that includes Ashton Kutcher, who can’t seem to get enough of its button-downs and cardigans.
