About Majorica

Headquartered on the Baleraic island of Majorca in the Mediterranean Sea, Majorica is the world’s foremost producer of man-made organic pearls. In fact, "majorica" has become the official word for Majorica's precious stones of the sea, which more closely resemble true pearls than other non-natural types on the market. Founded in 1890 by innovative German entrepreneur Eduardo Hugo Heusch, Majorica crafts its pearls from glass beads coated in layers of organic, iridescent pearl lacquer. The company’s exquisite pearl bracelets, earrings, necklaces and other jewelry offer all the luster and luminescence of pearls made by mollusks, but with a perfect roundness and uniformity that not even natural pearls can match.
