Marcia Moran’s exquisite handmade stud earrings, cuffs, and other jewelry designs make ample use of druzy: super-sparkly, semi-precious gemstones coated in crystals. Set in 24-karat yellow gold-plated brass or rhodium-plated metal, Moran's creations vary from pristine and polished to rough-edged and asymmetrical: think chandelier earrings and pendant necklaces embellished with perfectly cut green agate or blue chalcedony, as well as stackable ring sets accented with rough-textured, glittering druzy stones. A former dentist, Moran imports many of her materials from her native Brazil, which she left in 2003 for Los Angeles and a new career as a jewelry designer. Marcia Moran is as bold as her jewelry.
