Based in Los Angeles, Maternal America is the brainchild of designer Nataline Ngo, whose family entered the fashion industry after moving from Vietnam to the U.S. in the 1980s. Ngo’s upbringing sparked her interest in fashion design; after spending a few years working for others, she recruited her sister Tina to create a women’s clothing line. When Tina became pregnant, Ngo launched Maternal America — and a star label was born.
