When M.C.L. by Matthew Campbell Laurenza first debuted in 2007, demand was so high that the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman sold out of its stock nine times in just one month. Laurenza combines brightly colored enamel and precious gems to design three-dimensional, geometric patterns that are instantly recognizable for their intricacy and modernized antique look. Laurenza’s sophisticated style is largely informed by his world travels, during which he often seeks out high-quality gemstones as well as craftsmanship pointers from traditionally skilled artisans.
