Melissa
Remember your first pair of jellies? They were your first foray into fun footwear, and they got you lots of attention. Now Brazilian label Melissa is bringing fantastic plastic footwear to a new generation of shoe fashionistas. But these jellies are more like works of art: Think T-strap wedges, glitter-infused flats with zigzag patterns, and peep-toes in every color imaginable. With creative collaborators like architect Zaha Hadid, punk doyenne Vivienne Westwood, and daring dress designer Alexandre Herchcovitch, each Melissa shape is more like a sculpture than a shoe. And not only are these shoes fun, avant-garde, and surprisingly comfortable, but they're eco-conscious to boot: Since they're constructed in only one material, they're recyclable.
