Elena is originally Italian, simple, and has a style that can only be defined as hobo chic… she is also both a handbag and a person and is the creation of Lebanese designer Nada Sawaya, who often names her bags after her friends and relatives. Chic yet playful, polished yet exotic, Nada Sawaya’s designs appeal to the confident and worldly woman. Refined, innovative and timeless, her collections include hand-embroidered raffia bags, her signature python tote bag and an array of clutches. Elena and her friends (Gigi, Sofia, and the rest of the crew) are all manufactured in small family-owned Italian factories that use traditional local techniques to produce Nada Sawaya’s flawlessly crafted pieces.
