Description
Designer

"I find the deep, rich color of this rug extraordinary and I'm equally excited by the subtle pattern. There's no doubt this particular piece would add both warmth and drama to your space and really ground a seating area. I could also see this in a bedroom under the bed to set the right kind of mood." - Brad Ford

The Donja rug is hand woven using 100% hand-carded and hand-spun Himalayan wool and features silk accents. Swiss-dye. Pile height measures 3/8 of an inch. Spot clean rug with mild detergent.

Every Odegard rug carries the GoodWeave label by Rugmark, the best possible assurance that the rug was made without child labor.

Due to the handmade nature of Odegard Rugs, please expect slight variations in size and color.

Designer, humanitarian, businesswoman: Stephanie Odegard is each of these things and more. Since founding her eponymous carpet company in the late '80s, she's become world-renowned for luxurious, hand-knotted rugs that she creates herself and in partnership with a roster of international talent. Her contemporary designs are inspired by her love of craft and eye for color, and they draw upon her extensive travels as a Peace Corps volunteer and, later, with the United Nations and the World Bank. Adamant that Odegard Rugs be socially and environmentally responsible, she also serves as director of the Rugmark Foundation, which aims to end illegal child labor in South Asia.
