Pade Vavra's diamond-heavy jewelry combines a refined sensibility — courtesy of her former life as an interior designer — with the nature-loving attitude she'd acquired after years of family camping trips up and down the coast of California. Thorns, antlers, teeth and lava are rendered in hammered 18K gold, liberal dustings of diamonds, clusters of pearls, and spears of aqua quartz. Decidedly luxe, these ornately embellished jewels may be organically inspired, but they beg to be worn in the city.
