Jewelry designer Paolo Costagli’s flower-bright baubles seem freshly picked from a Florentine garden...and it’s no wonder why: Inspired by his childhood home of Florence, jewelry designer Paolo Costagli has said that he finds inspiration for his enchanting designs in memories of the beautiful country-side, art and architecture of Italy. His masterful eye, on the other hand, comes from training: Now based in New York City, Costagli first left his hometown for California at the age of 20 to pursue his gemologist degree. He opened up his first boutique in 1991, but not before a stint as an apprentice in several South American gemstone mines. The culmination: a treasure trove collection of colorful pieces that stand the test of time.
