Founded in 1978 by Patrick Charles, this company’s original focus was handwoven flat weaves from Mexico. Eventually, Charles began covering chairs and other furniture with these textiles, as well as with vintage fabrics from Turkey. All are distinguished by hand-knotting or handweaving detail and high quality vegetable-based dyes. In 2006, Charles started commissioning master craftsmen to use remnants of unused Turkish kilim fabric to create intricate patchwork carpets in innovative overdyed finishes.
Looking for a unique floor covering? Search no further—here you'll find rugs made from remnants of antique Turkish kilims, re-dyed and expertly woven together to create intricate, one-of-a-kind patchworks. Or opt for "recharged" vintage carpets, which are decolorized and then overdyed for a strikingly monochromatic look. No two are exactly alike, but all are breathtaking.
Add an opulent note of eclecticism to your home with these one-of-a-kind ottomans, which are upholstered in Turkish Kilims, and "recharged" vintage carpets that have been subject to painstakingly thorough overdye processes. The result? Breathtakingly saturated colors.
