Founded in 1948, in the southern suburbs of Chicago, SF Designs is still a family owned company. They specialize in fabricating traditional and modern styles—anything from tufted headboards and Chesterfield sofas to whimsical furnishings for kids—to the trade and for retailers around the country. Clean lines and playful applications of pattern and color define the signature look of their collections.
If we went into our warehouse and held a “Best in Chairs” competition, these would all be medal-winners. The range of styles is wide, from unabashedly modern to updated-traditional. Choose what inspires you, and don’t be afraid to get mixing and matching.
Can't-miss steals on room-defining designs
An updated-classic look that’s sophisticated yet eminently livable: That’s the look that defines the modern-day Brooklyn brownstone. We’ve put together a selection of furnishings, bedding, lighting, art, and accents that are inspired by this aesthetic. Each piece is distinguished by its attention to detail, texture, and structure.
Mid-century interior design isn't going anywhere, largely due to the fact that its timeless, classic lines convey both elegance and ease. We've got a wide selection here of both original antiques (a Sling Settee from Knoll) and modern homages (Vanguard's entertainment centers). Accessories, from an atomic-ball tabletop clock to a brass snail sculpture, finish the look. We especially love the beechwood dining chairs from Brooklyn's prestigious Prague Kolektiv.
