Polarn O. Pyret started out in 1976 with a single design: a striped kids' t-shirt. Since then, the Stockholm-based fashion label has grown into a multinational brand thanks to its shapely maternity wear for moms-to-be and “good looking clothes that let children be children.” The first clothing company to use the Nordic Swan Eco Label, Polarn O. Pyret ensures that its brightly colored, organic cotton basics protect little ones from the elements and withstand wear-and-tear. From windfleece bunting to leather shoes, many Polarn items feature horizontal stripes — the label's signature design motif — which has earned the company the nickname “the Stripy company” (its actual name translates to “Buddy and the Little Guy”). With its popular store in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood anchoring its stateside presence, Polarn O. Pyret has become a favorite among quality-conscious parents and celebs such as Tiger Woods, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck.
