Born and raised in India, jewelry designer Ranjana Khan got her start in the fashion business as a teenage model. Not long after escaping her native country to avoid an arranged marriage, she settled in New York City and soon met her husband, high-end fashion designer Naeem Khan. After years working in the embroidery business (a Khan family tradition), Ranjana Khan switched to designing jewelry — referencing her many years in textiles by incorporating tulle, velvet, silk, and colorful grosgrain ribbons into her highly distinctive designs. Pearls, crystals, and amethyst are just some of gems you'll find in Khan’s dazzling array of bib necklaces, drop earrings, woven bracelets, cluster rings, and bridal jewelry. In addition to designing baubles for the likes of Leighton Meester and Eva Longoria, Ranjana Khan has also created a collection for the Limited and had her work featured in Allure, Marie Claire, and many other publications.
