In 1950, Robert Talbott and his wife Audrey moved from the East Coast to Carmel, California. Audrey already enjoyed sewing one-of-a-kind bow ties for Robert and the couple’s friends, so it was only natural that the husband-and-wife team would expand the hobby into a business. What started as a range of fine neckwear for a small, discerning customer base grew rapidly.
