In 1950, Robert Talbott and his wife Audrey moved from the east coast to Carmel, CA with their son Robb. Audrey already enjoyed sewing one-of-a-kind bow ties for Robert and the couple’s friends, so it was only natural that the husband and wife team should expand the hobby into a business. What started as a range of fine neckwear for a small, discerning customer base grew rapidly. Today the brand has a series of Robert Talbott shops, a booming wholesale business, and a full line of menswear and womenswear—all marked by an abiding commitment to exceptional quality and enduring, American style.
