Designer Rory Beca’s career got off to an auspicious start: A stylist discovered her hand-knit scarves one day on a shoot, dressed some celebrities in them, and soon after, Henri Bendel came calling. Since then, the Los Angeles-based designer has expanded her repertoire to the whole wardrobe, creating clothes that are known for their modern femininity, exuberant prints and sophisticated layering of textures. Her signature piece, a caftan/minidress that she reinterprets each season, has become a staple of fashion lovers everywhere. Most recently, Beca introduced an evening collection that’s already started popping up on the red carpet.
