Los Angeles-based fashion designer Quinn Thompson lets his adventurous, can-do spirit guide him in creating Saint Grace, his ultra-feminine line of contemporary women’s basics. Originally from Olympia, Washington, Thompson grew up on a boat — an experience that instilled in him a sense of wonderment and possibility that continues to inform his 1970s-inspired clothing designs. Saint Grace’s brightly colored maxi-dresses and T-shirts, elegant tank tops and wide pants, asymmetrical cardigan sweaters and other separates are ultra-feminine and come in a range of luxurious fabrics — from Egyptian and Supima cotton to cashmere, rayon, modal and jersey. Founded in 2001, Saint Grace has become a favorite label of Lindsay Lohan, Scarlett Johansson and other Hollywood celebrities.

Athletic influences have been making their way into the fashion space for a few seasons, but spring 2014 marks the absolute apex of gym gear going haute. The runways were awash in drawstring pants, mesh tanks, bomber jackets and baseball hats, and the typically-done-up editor crowd is feeling the streetwise vibe. “The fashion industry is embracing its more casual, comfortable side, but in a chic and practical way,” Glamour’s Nikki Ogunnaike says, “so any woman can get in on the action.” Take a cue from her cool look, then shop the sale below to take your style game to the next level.
