Based in Stockholm, Sandqvist makes bags for every occasion—from your rugged adventure around the world to your romantic night on the town. Company co-owners Anton Sandqvist (who created the first Sandqvist bag in 2004), his brother Daniel, and childhood friend Sebastian Westin derive inspiration from their Nordic surroundings and Swedish heritage to create their fashionable bags, which emphasize utility and simplicity. Made of canvas or tough Cordura fabric, Sandqvist backpacks come with laptop compartments, leather details, and ergonomic shoulder straps to make travel and transport as comfortable as possible. For its expansive collection of purses, wallets, and belts, Sandqvist uses vegetable-tanned leather, heavy, untreated cotton canvas and other materials that age well over time. In recent years Sandqvist has collaborated with the vintage store Herr Judit on a 1950s-style factory bag and with Swedish chef Niklas Ekstedt on a limited edition line of sturdy cotton aprons.
