Stephen Joseph was founded in 1981 when Alexandra Buckley started making fabric frames to earn extra Christmas money. The next year, she ditched her job as a third grade teacher to start Alexandra & Company, the first division of Stephen Joseph. Today the company employs 125 people, and they make all kinds of kids' goodies, including backpacks, rain gear, stationary, and room decor items.
