When it comes to being kid-appropriate, Rio de Janeiro’s standard beach fashions are often anything but. Yet Brazilian swimwear label Submarine manages to tone things down with its upscale swimwear collection for little girls. Created in 1993 by clothing designers Deborah and Marcelo Soriano, Submarine combines quality fabrics with sharp silhouettes and bright floral, striped and geometric prints. Beading, eyelets, and ruffles give the brand's bikinis and one-pieces an extra dose of sophistication. Pretty cover-ups, peasant tops and sundresses are also part of Submarine’s collection, which fits girls ages two to ten years old.
