The Impossible Project’s grand plan, to rescue Polaroid film production from doom, has resulted in a slew of custom made new instant film for vintage Polaroid 600, SX-70, Spectra, and 8x10 cameras. In 2008, The Impossible Project saved the last Polaroid production factory for integral instant film in the Netherlands and started to invent and produce totally new instant film materials for traditional Polaroid cameras. Over 300,000,000 perfectly functional Polaroid cameras were, therefore, prevented from falling into obsolescence: a mighty gift indeed.
