With a resume that includes stints at Ksubi, Sass + Bide, and, most recently, Imitation of Christ, it's no surprise that designer Au Ekbutr Udomphol's solo effort — The Only Son, launched in the fall of 2010 — is heavy on blacks and grays with an emphasis on edgy, androgynous cuts. Splitting his time between London and Thailand, Udomphol subtly deconstructs classics like biker jackets and button-downs, infusing them with a minimalist edge that makes for a look that’s decidedly dark but surprisingly wearable.
