Toobydoo puts the fun in functional with its irreverent and clever clothing for kids. Made for newborns and children up to age 10, Toobydoo's award-winning, natural-fabric swimwear, rubber “raindance” boots, cotton-cashmere luxury jumpsuits, and other designs derive inspiration from early 20th century Dutch artists such as M.C. Escher and Piet Mondrian (some pretty eclectic sources, given the context!). Founded in 2009 by designer Paul Lips, this New York-based label is particularly taken with bold geometric patterns and stripes — applying various iterations and color combinations to everything from T-shirts and onesies to girls' shirt dresses. Graphic tees commemorating Henry Hudson’s exploration of New York, and girls' sweaters that pay homage to the Victorian era, not only look adorable but also give your little one a history lesson.
