Launched by Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren in 1993, Viktor & Rolf is as famous for its unpredictable fashion shows as for its prize-winning designs and successful Flowerbomb fragrance for women. Snoeren and Horsting have even been known to tap-dance on the runway together — nearly stealing all the attention from their concept-driven clothing, shoes, and accessories. Equal parts high-fashion and high-drama, Viktor & Rolf products have acquired a dedicated celebrity fan base that includes Scottish Tilda Swinton (who has sauntered down the catwalk for her sartorially similar pals), Ellen DeGeneres, and Gwen Stefani. In recent years the Amsterdam-based fashion house has partnered with L’Oreal on a successful fragrance line that includes Flowerbomb and its male counterpart, Spicebomb, sold in grenade-shaped bottles as a tribute to their namesakes’ provocative sense of humor.
