Alex & Ani founder Carolyn Rafaelian uses her jewelry collection to spread "positive energy ... enlighten the mind, and empower the spirit." Based in Rhode Island, Rafaelian founded her company in 2004 and hand-crafts each piece from colorful vintage stones and recycled metals sourced from local mills. Rafaelian’s niece Rachel heads up Vintage Sixty-Six — Alex & Ani's line of coiling, retro-chic wrap bracelets inspired by antiques, 1920s French design, and the coastlines of Greece. Each bracelet is made of metal and colorful glass beads purported to offer therapeutic benefits. Like Alex & Ani's expandable rings, drop earrings, beaded necklaces, and other designs, Vintage 66's brilliant bracelets are the perfect accessories for eco-conscious fashion fans.
