Origin: United States

John Rich, an English immigrant, started the first Woolrich mill in Pennsylvania, visiting lumber camps in the area to sell his wares. That was in 1830. Many garments from then still exist in production today like the timeless railroad vest, and the famous buffalo check shirt. Legend even has it that Woolrich was the first company to use zippers in men’s trousers. Eventually, Woolrich expanded into a lifestyle company with a range of products from jackets and shirts, to outdoor furniture and more, all while never changing their commitment to quality heritage-inspired clothing and goods.
