What IS a WordBiLLY? It’s a personal mini-billboard, as envisioned by a couple of UNC Charlotte students, Fahad Firdausi and Zhon Cole, who decided that they could and would bring their signature blend of pop culture and inspiration to the masses in the form of beautifully crafted wooden sculptures of words, quotes and symbols. Declare your love for your hometown – be it San Francisco, New York City or Chicago – or choose a tongue-in-cheek slogan, along the lines of “Oh Crêpe” for a kitchen wall or “Man Cave” for a den with swagger. Single word wooden signs are up for grabs, too, all handmade in the USA: Hipster, hacker and yolo all denote a certain purity of purpose, and come in a rainbow of colors. Hung on the wall or propped on a dresser, each Word BiLLY is meant to express something truly important to you: after all, your love of mustaches should not go undocumented!
