Known for its large printed men’s and women’s scarves, Yarnz has tackled everything from solid-color knits to bold graphic prints to contemporary and pop art. This NYC-based label, founded by designer Mateen Shah, has offered up a diverse selection of scarves, sweaters, and accessories made from soft cashmere, cashmere blends, and bamboo. The brand’s sense of humor shines through in the lipstick scarf — a cashmere and silk number imprinted with lipsticks and kissing lips — and pieces printed with diamond rings. In 2012 Yarnz diverted from its usual, fuzzy course by launching a line of roomy leather tote bags decorated with camouflage and geometric patterns. Founded in 2000, Yarnz has attracted a prestigious clientele that includes Madonna and Scarlett Johansson.
