A Business Systems Manager at Gilt Groupe works with multiple departments to identify, document and recommend solutions to existing business processes and system interactions in order to increase efficiency throughout the organization. The right candidate will be able to elicit and distill requirements from a number of different sources and challenge existing business assumptions in order to differentiate between “nice to have” and true needs.
The business environment is fast-paced, energetic and dynamic and requires a person who embraces change as a natural part of work and can adapt appropriately. The Business Systems Manager will be held accountable to a number of efficiency KPIs and will need to proactively collaborate with executives, subject matter experts, and engineering in order to get things done.
Responsibilities:
● Work with a diverse group of stakeholders of multiple levels throughout the company to identify and prioritize business processes to analyze based on what will have the greatest impact on efficiency.
● Lead the requirements gathering process through user interviews and workshops, creating use case documentation, user experience wireframes, and cross-functional process diagrams as appropriate.
● Critically analyze business and functional requirements needs to translate these into technical requirements. Design and propose solutions based on where the most efficiencies will be gained from both a user and systems perspective.
● Define KPIs on how efficiency will be tracked and measured for each project and work with multiple engineering teams to provide ROI analysis of the effort.
● Analyze existing systems to identify overlaps and provide recommendations for where combining or removing redundant systems may be appropriate.
● Provide enterprise system evaluations and recommendations, driving the vendor selection and RFP process if applicable.
● Develop all training and implementation materials, lead stakeholder training sessions and provide post-implementation support.
● Use experience in database reporting and Google Analytics to help define reporting requirements according to best practices.
● Act as the liaison between the engineering teams, business teams, and application support team.
Qualifications:● 5+ years experience in business analysis or product management at an online website or startup environment. E-commerce experience preferred. Experience working with both agile and traditional waterfall methodologies a plus.
● Persuasive, encouraging and motivating. Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in relationship management and leadership.
● Self-starter and self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision.
● Ability to work with shifting priorities, demands and timelines and make adjustments promptly and efficiently.
● Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of diffusing tension and eliciting cooperation from a wide variety of sources.
● Excellent presentation and meeting leadership skills.
● Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required.
● Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies as needed.
● Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
● Ability to build strong relationships with functional team partners is crucial.

You will be able to conceptualize creative ways to add value to the Gilt experience by analyzing and utilizing customer data in innovative ways.
