What is Gilt Insider?

Gilt Insider is a loyalty program for members of Gilt.com. Similar to an airline loyalty program, Gilt Insider members can receive and redeem points.

 

How do I earn Insider points?

Insider points are collected for numerous activities on Gilt.com, including purchases, visiting the site (you must be logged in to your account) and connecting to Facebook Timeline. Points can be redeemed at any time for any benefits available at the time, including free shipping,  percent-off discounts, and early sale access.

Benefits will change on an ongoing basis, offering new and exciting ways for you to redeem your points.  You are encouraged to check your Gilt Insider Dashboard at gilt.com/insider often for the latest benefits and discounts.  A full list of ways to earn and redeem Insider points is shown on the Gilt Insider Dashboard.  All points are based off of the US price.

 

Can I earn Insider points on mobile?

Yes. 

 

What about GiltCity.com?

You will earn Insider points for purchases made on GiltCity.com as well as visits to the site.

 

How can I use my Insider points?

Gilt is always testing new ways for you to enjoy your points, these may include the following:

1. Discounts: Redeem Gilt Insider points for percent-off discounts on purchases. You can see these on the Gilt Insider Dashboard under “Today’s Insider Offers”.

2. Free Shipping: Redeem Gilt Insider points for free shipping. This is available in the Today’s Insider Offers on the Insider Dashboard as well as in your cart at checkout.

3. Early Access to sales: You will be able to preview select sales in full inventory mode 30 minutes prior to it going live to the general public. If you would like to shop a previewed sale early, you can redeem points in order shop the preview. 

4. Insider Rewards Shop: Redeem Gilt Insider points to receive items from Gilt.

Please note that discounts can't be combined.  Currently, only one discount or offer can be used at a time.  For example, 10% discount and free shippping can't be combined.

 

Where can I see how many points I’ve earned?

 

1. You can find a current tally of available Gilt Insider points on your navigation bar on the home screen, which also will take you to the Gilt Insider Dashboard.  Here you can see your  current tally, and as well as the last 5 actions that collected, or spent, points.

2. You can always contact customer service at http://www.gilt.com/support.

 

What are Tiers? Why am I “Select,” “Premier” or “Noir?”

As you collect more points, you can cross point thresholds that grant you status into new Loyalty Tiers. The higher the Tier, the more benefits are available to you.

 

I am already a member of Gilt’s Noir program. What does this mean for me?

Your existing Noir benefits remain the same—but you'll now have more of them.  Complete details on the Insider Dashboard.

 

What happens if I achieve a new Insider Tier?

Members who earn enough points to achieve a new Tier—General to Select, Select to Premier, Premier to Noir—will be offered a Welcome Discount.  Your Gilt Insider Dashboard has more details.

 

How long is my Tier status—Select, Premier or Noir—good for, does it expire?

Your status is good for the remainder of this year and through December 31, 2014, subject to Gilt’s right to change or cancel the program.  Unlike other loyalty programs that link activation to shopping, keeping your Gilt Insider status active is easy: merely visiting the site once—and earning one Insider point for doing so—will maintain your current status. 

 

How long are my points good for?

Points will expire after 6 consecutive months of membership in program without a purchase. 

 

If I spend all my Insider points, will I drop from my Insider Tier?

Once you secure membership to an Insider Tier—Select, Premier, or Noir—the status is independent of the balance of points in your account. However, you will lose your status and drop back to “general membership” a full year after any calendar year in which you fail to maintain the minimum tier requirements.   For example, if you joined Insider Noir on October 15, 2013, and you don’t maintain the Tier’s balance, you will lose your Noir status on December 31, 2014.

 

Can I buy Insider points to get into a higher Insider Tier?

No, Gilt Insider points are not for sale at this time. You must collect points through activity on Gilt.com, GiltCity.com and Gilt.com mobile.

 

Can I buy Insider points if I am short and want to redeem a benefit?

Not at this time. You collect Gilt Insider points through activity on Gilt.com, GiltCity.com and on Gilt.com mobile.

 

Why do some discounts and offers show as “Sold Out”?

Just like our sales each day, there is a limited inventory of Insider discounts and offers. Get in early, and check back often—they’re always changing.

 

Can I return a discount of offer?

No. Once you redeem Insider points for a discount or offer it is unrefundable.

 

What happens to my points if I return or cancel an order?

If you return or cancel an order, the points accumulated with the purchase will be deducted from your total points balance.

 

Early Sale Access is an Insider benefit. How many points do I need for Early Sale Access?

All Insiders can use points to shop sales early. Early Sale Access ranges from 250 - 10,000 points. Most of our sales can be accessed for 500 points. For highly coveted items, often with limited inventory, more points are needed to access.

 

Can I access all sales via Early Sales Access? 

Most 12pm EST sales are accessible via Early Sale Access. Currently, we do not offer Early Sale Access on Home sales or 9pm EST sales but we hope to offer them soon. 

 

Do I have to participate in Gilt Insider?
