Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with dotted line responsibility to the Chief Marketing Officer, The Director of Creative Services is responsible for driving the efficient operations of the entire creative production process, ensuring that sale images are delivered on time and on budget while also meeting creative standards.  This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of digital asset creation – with a staff of up to 50 – and including three photo studios, retouching and digital asset management.  The successful candidate will have a history of success in process improvement and will capitalize on this experience by implementing best practices across the creative production cycle.

Major responsibilities include:

•    Develop workflow processes to streamline and provide visibility to each step in the creative production process, highlighting the interdependencies and alerting team to underlying issues that could impact sale readiness
•    Look for cost-cutting approaches that deliver lower cost/higher productivity solutions without sacrificing quality
•    Investigate and recommend options for managing high volume photographic needs for large ecommerce site (internal and external)
•    Manage the photography operations process to deliver the required shot-counts needed to support each product sale
•    Oversee the retouching process to balance quality and productivity
•    Partner with Sale Operations to plan and execute sales calendar
•    Partner with Warehouse Operations to ensure samples are accurately managed
•    Respond to post-sale customer service issues related to creative production by implementing process improvements to resolve those issues

•    Superb communications skills and a demonstrated ability to influence decisions with a professional yet firm approach

Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
•    Minimum 5 years experience in an operational role
•    Verifiable track record of success in process/change management
•    Experience managing staff from a diverse range of functional areas
•    Experience managing high volume production
•    Experience with digital processes
•    Start-up / e-commerce experience strongly preferred
