Job Description:

Gilt Groupe is looking for a well-rounded Junior Graphic Designer to join our fun, progressive, rapidly growing ecommerce startup.  The Designer will work directly with the Design Manager to create fluid e-commerce solutions and effective interactive visual assets. The Web Designer will be responsible for online brand integration and the creative process from original concepts to final implementation. The Interactive Creative team collaborates with all marketing channels and the Creative Director to create consistent branding across all mediums.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

•    Design of promotional ad units,
•    Design and maintenance of websites,
•    Collaboration on corporate identity packages and a variety of print and new media projects.
•    Create fluid e-commerce initiatives and assist with the creative process from original concepts to final implementation

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design or web design
•    1– 3 years experience in graphic/interactive design
•    Strong talent for all elements of design, layout and typography
•    Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis and multitask in a very fast paced environment
•    Have a love of detail oriented work
•    Proficiency with Mac OS: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Bridge, Flash), PowerPoint and Word Experience with Flash and Dreamweaver a plus
•    Have a strong understanding of latest web technologies and their capabilities
•    Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Able to work independently with minimal instruction
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to keep abreast of innovative
•    AS3, HTML and CSS knowledge a plus
