Job Description:
The Web Designer will be responsible for maintaining online identity and online marketing materials for the brand. The successful candidate will work directly with the Web Design Manager to create fluid e-commerce solutions and effective interactive visual assets. The Web Designer will be responsible for online brand integration and the creative process from original concepts to final implementation. The Interactive Creative team collaborates with all marketing channels and the Creative Director to create consistent branding across all mediums.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Design visually attractive interfaces and web pages based on principles of design and usability
• Create fluid e-commerce initiatives and assist with the creative process from original concepts to final implementation
• Create, produce and deploy weekly emails based on current marketing strategy
• Assist in day-to-day website maintenance with tasks such as organizing and updating content, creating, editing & optimizing images and transferring files
• Create banner ads and other creative online marketing pieces using applied graphic design principles
• Work with team to proactively assess needs and recommend solutions to create an effective Internet marketing strategy
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design or web design
• 3 – 5 years experience in graphic/interactive design
• Strong understanding of graphic design, layout and typography
• Highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge;
• Experience with Flash and Dreamweaver a plus
• Strong working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript a plus
• Fundamental understanding of GUI design and intuitive navigation schemes
• Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Information Architecture experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to keep abreast of innovative design trends and technologies
