Director, Marketing

Gilt Groupe provides invitation-only access to high-end fashion and luxury brands at highly discounted prices. The company currently works with a roster of nearly 400 up-and-coming and established brands in the women's, men's, children's, beauty, and home fashion categories.

Position Summary:  

 Gilt Group is seeking a Director of Marketing for the Gilt and other Gilt websites.  This position will be responsible for marketing activity to our members on the Gilt.com and other websites.  He/she will partner closely with our merchandising team to ensure maximization of our sales.

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Promote Gilt.com sales to our members through the development of onsite marketing programs to maximize our sales and bring added value to our customers
2.    Responsible for the creation and execution of the annual marketing calendar of event-based promotion of sales such as Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc.
3.    Ensure the proper customer experience through the analysis of the number of sales per day, number of skus, etc.
4.    Partner with CRM team and Customer Experience team to ensure a consistent user experience via onsite promotion.
5.    Strategize with other business unit Marketing Directors to create cross-business sales and marketing opportunities for optimum growth
6.    In collaboration with PR team, create multi-platform promotions (e.g., site promotion of a broadcast event)
7.    Test key variables such as price elasticity, segmentation strategy, cross-selling, etc.through Merchandising team’s metrics
8.    Collaborate cross functionally to conceive and develop new business or partnership experiences
9.    Create a best in class shopping experience in partnership with Merchandising team
10.    Work closely with Editorial Director to ensure an “on voice” experience for our customers

Requirements:

1.    6 + years of proven success in marketing for high volume retailer in the ecommerce space
2.    Strong experience translating customer insights into an online experience
3.    Solid understanding/experience with high performing transactional websites
4.    Experience working in a merchandising environment
5.    Strong analytic skills – ability to leverage data and insights to build marketing programs
6.    Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix environment
