Job Description:
The Senior Requirements Analyst will have primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of project stakeholders, including customers and end users. The position requires an individual who can serve as the conduit between the customer and business community and the software development team through which requirements flow. The Senior Requirements Analyst is involved throughout the entire software development life cycle. Upon establishment of the requirements baseline, the focus will shift towards the management of the requirements specification and verifying the fulfillment of all requirements.

Job Duties:
• Work with Project Manager, Product Manager, and/or Business Owner to document product vision and the project scope.
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, use cases, scenarios, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis.
• Write requirements specifications in keeping with standard templates, using clear language: simple, explicit and concise.
• Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for Software Engineers.
• Define external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements.
• Represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models or sketches, where appropriate.
• Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent and comprehensive.
• Participate in requirements prioritization.
• Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly. Work hand-in-hand with Engineering during development to ensure requirements are understood.
• Manage and track requirements status throughout all projects.
• Identify requirements errors and defects, and write requirements defect identification and notification reports.
• Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
• Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools.
• Identify ways to assist Product Management in product planning through requirements development and analysis. Propose new product features and updates.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years’ experience managing ecommerce website and product launches in a requirements/business analysis capacity
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects
• Strong listening and communication skills coupled with strong interviewing and questioning skills
• Excellent writing and analytical skills
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills
• A proven ability to find creative ways of satisfying user needs
• Excellent modeling skills
• Self-starter / self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint skills required. Proficient in MS Word and Outlook
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to work independently and build strong relationships with functional team partners
