Job Description:

Gilt Groupe is looking for a passionate driver and manager, who will play a pivotal role in defining our online customer experience.
The Senior Product Manager will create and manage significant online products and features for Gilt Groupe. The position requires a laser-like customer focus, and nuanced understanding of the online product development process. Key areas of responsibility include target segment needs analysis, market and product requirements gathering and definition, working hand-in-hand with UI, design and technology teams. The business environment is energetic and dynamic and requires a person who is comfortable operating at a fast pace, is detail oriented and someone who drives for results and executional excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter who appreciates web site design with high aesthetic values. A passion for elegant ecommerce experiences and a “can do” approach are musts.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Define, develop and drive the product vision, strategy and KPIs for a given product portfolio. Must be able to clearly communicate this product strategy across the company.
•    Research and identify new opportunities for Gilt to further distinguish itself as a leader in offering unique online ecommerce experiences
•    Lead the creation and definition of innovative product and customer experience concepts with the extended team of business managers, designers, technology managers, and cross-functional teams that will ultimately support the product implementation (e.g. operations, customer service, etc.)
•    Lead, write and present market-winning MRDs and PRDs, driven by user insights, with input from internal stakeholders and occasionally, external business partners
•    Maintain the overall product and feature roadmap, managing prioritization and tradeoffs
•    Measure and analyze new and existing competitors
•    Review usability test results, track online usability bugs and define areas for constant enhancement and optimization within the user experience.
•    Prepare effective written correspondence and present information in a group setting. Communicate frequently with management and business partners to clarify and resolve issues/concerns. Occasionally, present to executive staff.
•    Understand and discuss technical concepts, and propose opportunistic new product ideas with non-technical and technical employees
•    Analyze and present hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and feature concepts

Qualifications:

•    5+ years product management experience in consumer-facing online commerce
•    MBA with product marketing concentration a plus
•    Proven track record of managing and launching innovative products and features
•    Strong interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent presentation and meeting leader skills
•    Strong negotiation, organizational, and facilitation skills
•    Self-starter / self-motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision
•    Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
•    Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines when required
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project and PowerPoint skills required. Proficient in MS Word and Outlook
•    Must be detail oriented
•    Must be able to work independently and build strong relationships with functional team partners
