Company Background:

Gilt Groupe provides access, by invitation only, to Men's, Women's, Children's, Beauty, and Home coveted fashion and luxury brands at prices up to 70% off retail. Each sale lasts 36 hours and features hand selected styles from a single designer. The business model, based on urgency and scarcity, offers extraordinary goods at incredible prices, but only for a limited time. All of these sales occur daily at noon, driven by daily email reminders and alerts to a private membership. Most of the hot items are sold within the first 10 minutes, with the bulk of sales occurring within the first 90 minutes.

Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer for Gilt Groupe, you'll join an elite development team and move our internal applications to the next level. We offer an honest and open environment, highly receptive to your ideas, highlighted by weekly tech team offsite hackfests. Our company is one of the fastest growing companies in NYC and we’re looking for a few very talented, highly qualified developers to help us stay ahead of the growth.
Working from our office in New York's Chelsea district, you’ll be mentoring engineers while developing internal applications in Ruby—these are applications that keep the company running efficiently. You’ll be interacting with the heads of different departments; logistics and operations, content management etc.

Requirements:

-6-8 years of web applications development experience.
-At least 2 years of Ruby experience.

Education:

BS in Computer Science
