Each sale lasts 36 hours and features hand selected styles from a single designer. The business model, based on urgency and scarcity, offers extraordinary goods at incredible prices, but only for a limited time. All of these sales occur daily at noon, driven by daily email reminders and alerts to a private membership. Most of the hot items are sold within the first 10 minutes, with the bulk of sales occurring within the first 90 minutes.

About the position:

A unique opportunity to work with a wide array of technologies such as: mixed Mac and PC office environment, digital photography studio, warehouse management system.

We are looking for a hands on and customer oriented IT manager with experience supporting a mixed Mac and PC office environment.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Mac and PC desktop experience.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting LANs, Wi-Fi networks, VPNs.
  • Some experience with BlackBerry devices.

Bonus:

  • Scripting capabilities.
  • Web application experience.
  • RFID experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support office network, devices, and applications: Macs, PCs, BlackBerrys, iPhones, Outlook, Entourage, Mail, etc.
  • Document and implement an employee on-boarding process: Computer setup, email setup, gilt.com setup, intranet setup, etc.
  • Work with creative team to implement digital photo studio IT.
  • Improve warehouse network and IT infrastructure.
  • Work with dev team on tighter integration between warehouse and web application.
