NEW YORK, September 20, 2012 – Gilt Groupe, the innovative online shopping destination, today announced that it has promoted Jyothi Rao to Executive Vice President of Fashion and Jason Goldberger to Executive Vice President of Home, Taste, Baby & Kids, and Business Development.
Rao, previously General Manager of Gilt's Women's business will now oversee both the women's and men's apparel and accessories businesses. Goldberger, previously General Manager of Gilt Home and Taste, will continue to oversee those businesses as well as Baby & Kids and business development for the company.Rao and Goldberger will continue to report to Gilt's President, Andy Page. Keith George continues to oversee Gilt MAN as General Manager reporting to Rao. Rachel Jarrett will continue in her role as General Manager of Baby & Kids as well as take on additional responsibilities as Head of Operations for Home, reporting to Goldberger.
These promotions are part of a strategic plan to streamline the customer shopping experience. As a result of this, Park & Bond will be merged with Gilt MAN over the next several months, giving men a single destination to shop.While the emphasis of Gilt MAN will focus on driving excitement through limited time sales, it will also offer select merchandise at retail.
In addition, Gilt Taste will focus more heavily on the product offering and scale back on the site's content. "We understand much more today about what draws our customers to Gilt. That insight has informed our decision to focus on a single shopping destination, offering product relevant to each member," said Page.
