Gilt.com Brings All-New Look and Feel and Exciting New Features to Popular 'Gilt for iPad' App

NEW YORK, NY – December 13, 2012 – Gilt, www.gilt.com, the innovative online shopping destination, today announced the launch of its redesigned Gilt for iPad App. The upgrade features an all-new look and feel, with beautiful visuals and updates including the integration of Gilt City for the first time, as well as size filters, sale previews, and the ability for users to shop by product category and access their Wait Lists.

The Gilt for iPad creates a seamless shopping experience where members can easily access all of their favorite brands and items with simplicity and speed. New features include: 

• Filters: Members can now narrow down sales to display the sizes, brands, categories and colors desired.

• Gilt City: For the first time, Gilt City has been integrated into the app, so iPad users can now access local deals and experiences in seven cities across the country.

• Shop by Category: Provides users with a way to shop Gilt by product categories and subcategories (i.e. shoes can be sorted by boots, flats, sandals, etc.).

• Sale Preview: Members can preview all upcoming sales and set/receive calendar reminders.

• Wait List: iPad users will now be able to access their Wait List, and similar items will be suggested for sold out products.

• All New Look & Feel: The app features all new visuals, plus new interactions and features. Every screen in the app has been updated from the previous version.

• Mobile Exclusives: iPad users will be able to access mobile exclusive sales, a feature which users of the Gilt on the Go App for iPhone and iPod touch already love. 

Mobile shopping has continued to play an important role for Gilt. The original iPad app has been downloaded more than 1.5 million times, and mobile shopping overall represents 35% of Gilt's daily revenue. In addition, this holiday season, Gilt has seen tremendous success on mobile. Black Friday was the single highest revenue day to date on mobile, and 60% of all visits to Gilt that day were made on a mobile device. Gilt also offers exclusive sales and sneak peeks via its apps, including Holiday Weekend mobile exclusives launching every weekend until Christmas.
