To say there’s a burgeoning army of Harvard alumni bucking cushy corporate jobs to follow their passion for necktie design might be a bit of a stretch. Still, two makes a trend. Following in the footsteps of fellow Harvard grad and hugely successful tie designer Alexander Olch comes Kevin Burrows, whose line The Windmill Club is handmade in New York City using only dead-stock silk—meaning that Burrows’s club and repp ties come in extremely limited runs, and are a lighter counterpoint to the current wave of knit neckwear. Each season’s offerings are accompanied by a short film. Here, the just-released, eminently watchable Fall/Winter edition.
