Dispatches from Fall '11

Pesko's Pics: L.B.M. 1911

Our man in Firenze brings you the best of the Pitti Uomo trade show.

The tones of your future closet.

Two (good) things I’ve taken away from Pitti so far: 1) Unstructured blazers: still a thing, and rightly so. And, 2) Color: specifically, nontraditional hues on traditional garments. Case in point would be this burgundy and gray jacket story at L.B.M. 1911—celebrating its centennial, as you probably surmised—any one of which I would give a good home. Burgundy might just be the color to invest in next winter. Designers and paleontologists agree it’s a viable option for day and evening.
