Yohji Yamamoto’s diffusion line, COMING SOON, debuted in 2008 as a more accessible alternative to his namesake line in both concept and price point. And few things are more accessible than military-inspired clothing. It’s a perennial inspiration for menswear for very good reason; the garments, once built for comfort and versatility, more often than not become very stylish (and inexpensive) as the years go by. This cotton utility jacket is no exception. Modeled after the legendary fishtail parkas of the Korean War (so named after the garment’s longer cut in the back), this jacket has both form and function down pat.
