It’s not often that a classic mode of conveyance gets an upgrade. Yet, Brooklyn Workshop has done just that with their unique Skatecycle. Taking influences from snowboarding, cycling, and skateboarding, these self-propelled hybrids combine the light portability of urban skating with the carving action usually reserved for the slopes. Skatecycle’s inventor, Alon Karpman, enlisted thirteen of his favorite street artists to design their very own. The results are reserved exclusively for Gilt MAN customers with all of the proceeds going to Global Giving to help in their tireless relief efforts in post-earthquake/tsunami Japan.

Brooklyn Workshop Skatecycles, on sale Thursday, June 23rd at noon ET, on Gilt MAN.
