When legendary journalist and Gilt MANual tailored clothing correspondent Gay Talese hosts a film screening, you know he’s going to be the best-dressed man in the room. When the screening is for Page One, Andrew Rossi’s new documentary about the inner workings of The New York Times, you can also expect the 10 year veteran of the paper to drop some serious knowledge about the news trade. Vanity Fair caught up with the fedora-capped pocket square aficionado over martinis during the afterparty at Le Cirque and got a bevy of signature Talese wit and wisdom. Our favorite bit? His revelation that, “The high point of my life… is the 10 years I worked on the daily staff.
