Making fun of multimillionaires with questionable taste never gets old, and over the past years the smirking NBA Draft Day style roundup has become a veritable media cliché. Well, in the spirit of giving credit where credit is due, we think it’s time to take a moment to appreciate the style on display at last night’s event. Sure, there was the occasional flagrant (yeah, we’re looking at you, Jimmer), but overall these guys had serious sartorial game. Here, a few of our favorite looks from the 2011 draft, preceded by a handful of fashion outrages from the ’90s and ’00s to illustrate just how far things have come.

    Lol is all I can say. A couple of the guys definitely made good choices, although I smell a stylist. Pants are always too long. I suspect no tailoring at all haha.

    Why do basketball players tend to pick those crazy 18-button suits? It would take you like a half hour to button up after standing up from dinner.
