I’m about my classics. Something that’s been good for generations and still looks good is most likely going to look good in a few more decades. Mister Ervell knows this as well as anyone and his affinity for and redeployment of the classic club collar shirt has been an air tie boon to our generation. (You wonder, don’t you, if the Foreign Service made him wear it as a uniform in actual gentlemen clubs, while he was training to be James Bond.) Though he makes stellar versions in chambray, blue, light blue and several other colors any man would be happy to wear around his downtown, I’m grabbing up the white one. And you can bet good money it’ll be in style when I’m complaining about “the kids these days” in 30 years.
