Well, technically it was was Prince & Sullivan, location of The Dutch, where we gathered to celebrate the impending launch of Park & Bond, the new men’s retail site that many of us on the MANual team have been working on over the past several months. The name references two of NYC’s most stylish streets—Park Avenue & Bond Street—and it encapsulates the site’s aesthetic, which is equal parts uptown and downtown, classic and contemporary. Park & Bond goes live August 8th and will offer a wide array of the world’s best brands on a seasonal basis, as a complement to Gilt’s addictive flash sales. What’s more, it will feature tons of useful and engaging editorial content designed to help guys (like you) get the most out of the amazing assortment of brands that Brooke Cundiff and her merchandising team have assembled.
But enough about the site (for now). Let’s talk about the party. Along with our team—president John Auerbach, DMM Brooke Cundiff, style director Josh Peskowitz, merchandising content director Andy Comer, yours truly, and several others—we were joined by Neil Patrick Harris, Kyle MacLaughlin, designers Thom Browne, Simon Spurr, Yigal Azrouel, Mark McNairy, and Daniel Silver of Duckie Brown, plus Park & Bond contributors Euan Rellie and Dirk Standen. Also present: the ever dapper Michael Hainey and Pete Hunsinger of GQ, whom we’re pleased to be partnering with for the new site.
